  1. karmaa says:

another great movie thanks so very much TB, if i may ask at any stage will we see anymore instance runs from you?

  2. Jav3lin says:

I agree with Karmaa, do some RFC with Hiyoutube or whatnot ^^

Also, that priest heal is called Penance.

  3. glyakk says:

The Grimtotem were not there before, it was the Venture Co. around the wells. Cool to see they are working them into the story alot more now. Absolutely loving the videos.

  4. Draco951 says:

/console CameraDistanceMax 30, make a macro or type it out and your camera can zoom out well beyond normal max

  5. TotalBiscuit says:

That’s camera, not view distance. Completely different things.

The reason I am not doing instances right now simply because there are only 3 new ones available and Stonecore requires a Level 83 (as in, you cna’t even go in without one)

  6. Nagavenom says:

the Kyle-quest was added in TBC release or so iirc

  7. TotalBiscuit says:

    Yeah I know, that’s why I said it…

  8. colovick says:

there’s a way to tweek the view distance in game, although i’m not sure as to the legality of doing so… a friend of mine spent around $2k on a new computer and made a mod to set the rendering distance to nil, or infinite as the game reads it… it tried to fully render Northrend and crashed the shiny piece of hardware on the spot… i don’t know much about mods myself, but i have it in my addon folder… if you email me, i could send it to you… and before you ask, yes i created this account for the sole purpose of telling you this.

  9. draakos says:

I know I changed the view distance in the tbc expansion. It turns out blizzard keeps most of it’s settings in xml or xml like format. If you snoop around your game folder and look for some settings files……
I’ll check on my old pc with wotlk on it were to find it. BRB :p

  10. draakos says:

Oke, I just checked. You might want to open the config.WTF file in the game folder World of Warcraft/WTF. You can do this with notepad. Now all your graphic options seem to be in there, and i think you can fiddle around with that (Camera view distance is under World of Warcraft/WTF/ACCOUNTS//cashed-conf). I’m sure if you fiddel around with those parameters you’ll eventually get it right (make a backup :p).

    Btw i love your video’s ;)

  11. draakos says:

I am (apparently) really enjoying myself :p

try using the following command: /console cameraDistanceMax

The guy that gave me the explenation told me I couldn’t go above 25.
Sorry that I can’t test out these setting myself and that i’m spamming on this video :p

    I hope I helped.

  12. Shifty says:

Are you gonne do some other fly trough of zones, like you did a couple of weeks ago. Would love to see what else has been changed, and perhaps some of the new zones.

  13. Donaban says:

It has clearly been a while since you last levelled, judging by all those missed chests (there were at least two in the video).

  14. darth_infamous says:

One of these commands may improve draw distance, I would suggest experimenting with them

    /console farclip 777
    /console horizonfarclip 6226
    /console groundeffectdensity 256
    /console groundeffectdist 140
    /console smallcull 0
    /console skycloudlod 3
    /console characterambient 0

To reset back to normal/default, use these commands

    /console groundEffectDensity 16
    /console groundEffectDist 1
    /console horizonfarclip 1305
    /console farclip 177
    /console characterAmbient 1
    /console smallcull 1
    /console skycloudlod 1
    /console detailDoodadAlpha 1

  15. richtoad says:

ok heres how you do it the easy way. no /s or anything. esc, interface, camera, move the knob for camera distance all the way up, and its a lot further.

  16. Gerogero says:

Its been ahwile since I have done Mulgore, but is Kyle actually grown up now?

  17. VeniVid says:

    Macro the following in-game.
Its the max settings for both view distance and foliage.

    /console farclip 777
    /console horizonfarclip 6226
    /console groundeffectdensity 256
    /console groundeffectdist 140
    /console smallcull 0
    /console skycloudlod 3
    /console characterambient 0

  18. VeniVid says:

argh beat me to it :) Darth.

Thoroughly enjoy your vid’s and podcasts TB keep it up.

  19. richtoad says:

Umm srry wrong thing disregard what I said last comment thats what i get for commenting while waiting for the movie to load. try checking options, video, graphics, and than there witll be a bar that is labeled seeing distance or whatever. The thing above was for how to zoom outward further which is useful for seeing things behind u and getting various angles at fishing lures with people right on them. Keep up the good work TB! Little disappointed in that zone but hey! can’t have everything. And as opposed to fly overs why not just continue leveling up past the end of the starting zones? That way we get to see all the quests in the area and all the phasing as oppesed to “and now coming up on our right a quest that is very important and starts phasing but lets skip it.”

  20. Tricky557 says:

TB, that heal is called penance, it used to be the 51 point talent of the disc priest tree, but I guess they’re giving it to you once you select the disc tree as your spec.

  21. Terridol says:

Don;t know if this has been mentioned b4 but Red Cloud Mesa has always been walled up. Other than that great video looking forward to the conclusion of the Worgen starting zone and the misadventrues of our favorite goblin pyromaniac.

  22. Hardy says:

VeniVid that macro makes my view distance half the size of what it is already. Still seen nothing to give what TB was asking for about more view distance

  23. Mamado says:

The open plains distance issue can be solved in the same manner as was done inside the death knight starting zone- give all Tauren in the zone some sort of nature’s blessing that allows them to run faster, perhaps only works when out of combat or something. They tried something of the sort right at the beginning of wow but later took it out- I’m sure they could make it work now.

As many before have said- CB keep it up. Definately my favorite vid series about cataclysm. You put tankspot / wowhead to shame.

  24. YesIplayagirl says:

A lot of mmos now just give a mount at the start, maybe after every starting areas for Non goblin/wogens they should just give you the regular mount, its not like riding is new. Cut down on quest times for large zones like Mulgore. It looks like the Bloodhoof quests weren’t change much at all. They haven’t gotten to it yet?…or is this the way its suppose to be at release…
I usually run over to Durotar then the Ghostlands when leveling Tauren these days If the quests are still like this in Cata I doubt would bother staying in Mulgore.

  25. Zy says:

Hey TB, just out of curiosity, what server is your mage on for the Beta? Just got in and was thinking of joining you for some dungeon runs if ever we’re both on at the same time.

  26. ironsolomon says:

    hey TB

    /console farclip 1600

type this ingame and you will see some magic shiney distance :) .

    Take care.
    Great vids

  27. birdboot says:

    Taken from :http://wow.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=374065

    “bypass the 50m cap:
Unfortunately this is not possible. The 50m are hardcoded, therefore it cant be altered by an AddOn. Anyway there is a way to trick the system.

    1. Log out
    2. Open WTF/Account/”User”/”Char”/camera-settings.txt
    3. Change cameraDistance (f.e.: 500.000000)
    4. Save the txt-file
    5. Log in with the specific character

Now the previously altered distance value is loaded.
You can take beautiful pictures with this trick (Picture: if-b and bb-b). But as soon as you use the zoom-out function, the values change back to the allowed ones.

    Hope this helps,
