It appears that, at least on the web player, that it ends abruptly at 19:37. Not sure what happened but you got cut off midsentence…
This is likely an issue with the current massive server load we’re experiencing. The archive has been tested and is complete.
Just picked up Dante´s Inferno today and must say that I am enjoying it thoroughly. Never having played any of the God of War series, it doesn´t really concern me whether it is its rip off or not, but the combat does bear similarities to it (judging from various game play videos of God of War), as well as to Devil May Cry, which i have played.
But honestly what carries the game in my oppinion is the setting. Hell looks absolutely amazing, the creatures are very well designed and the surroundings are just brilliant and look gorgeous.
In my oppinion its well worth checking out, even though the combat system may not be all that innovative.
Yeah it’s the setting that really attracts me to it, plus it seems like the attacks are really original looking. There’s one that fires crucifixes at people.
Indeed. The cross attacks are your range attacks, and the scythe is melee. You can also buy new combos as you progress. And there is holy and unholly path you can take, holly focusing on upgrading the cross while unholly focuses on the scythe. You also pick up relics along the way that enhance you even further. And im sure there is much more to it, but I am only about 2 hours into the game so far
I enjoyed this episode more than the first one, seems a little bit less rushed and there seems to be more comment, but not so much that the feel of a “news show” is taken away.
I was going to give this another 7 but thanks to that extremely funny commentating on the Battleblock trailer, you get my 8 stars for this one!
I also enjoyed this episode more than the first one, the main reason seems to be increased use of light humour as well as more PERSONAL opinion.
Don’t know about other listeners, but when TB relates things to his personal experience they somehow become more interesting.
One constructive point of criticism, this show seems to be more on the positive side with positive topics, as opposed to the host’s forté which seems to be things he DOESN’T like.
Sorry for the wall of text but so far, so good with this show. Keep it up!
100 words does not constitute a wall of text
Maybe when mentioning special deals, you could give a link to an accurate review of the product (if known). While you often can’t go wrong for such a low price it can help people decide if it is worth the investment of time.
Alternatively, other than the links at the top of the page, what would be the review site(s) you would trust. I think you mentioned that you had a falling out with IGN over a particular game (ref GTS).
Anyway keep up all of the great work on this site, it’s awe..some!
Todays show blew the other show out of the water. Much more of the stuff listeners like, and as ArKaine said, it hasnt lost that news show vibe in the process, which is obviously the idea you were going for. It was so good, I listened to it twice (amg!1!). The battleblock trailer commentary was funny as hell, maybe a slot of the show in future?
8/10 from me, definatly downloading the next one.
What a fine podcast this is turning out to be, props to you TB.
Today’s episode was definitely a step in the right direction. The news were delivered very nicely and were overall interesting. I liked how some topics were discussed in greater detail with a personal spin on them (like the AvP multiplayer modes). The balance between news and commentary was excellent and the trailer commentating was very amusing.
Audiowise it was top notch and the entire structure of the show struck a nice balance between accessibility and depth. Personally, I really enjoy the show’s format and hope it will continue along the same lines in the future.
Aren’t the Trigen the aliens/mutants in Far Cry? I don’t remember the aliens in Crysis ever being labeled. Not that it matters.
